Frederiksted, US Virgin Islands is a municipality on the island of Saint Croix (US Virgin Islands) . Frederiksted is of Danish origin. The city is named after King Frederick V of Denmark .
In 2000 the place had 732 inhabitants.
Today's old town was partly built in the 1700s as a planned town (7 × 7 blocks) according to the plans of the surveyor Jens Beckfor.
Among other things, Fort Frederik , a fortress from the 18th century, is worth seeing .
The Paul E. Joseph Stadium is in town .

- Seba Johnson (* 1973), American animal rights activist, actress and ski racer
- Mary Thomas , leader of the Fireburn Riots that burned half of Frederiksted down in 1878. Thomas died in Frederikstedt in 1905.
