(4044) Erikhøg is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 16 October 1977 by the Dutch astronomer Cornelis Johannes van Houten at Mount Palomar was discovered.

The name of the asteroid is reminiscent of the Danish astronomer Erik Høg .
