Fredy Thompson (born June 2, 1982 in Puerto Barrios ) is a Guatemalan football player who predominantly acts in midfield .

career

Thompson began his professional career at CSD Comunicaciones , for which he was first used in the 2004/05 season in a game of the Guatemalan League . In 2007 he moved to league competitor CSD Municipal , with whom he won the Guatemalan football championship in the 2008 Clausura . He then played for the Mexican second division club Albinegros de Orizaba in the first half of 2009 and returned to CSD Comunicaciones in summer 2009, with whom he won the 2011 Apertura. However, at the end of the season, like his two teammates Adolfo Machado and Marvin Ceballos, he tested positive for boldenone during a doping control and was banned for two years. After his suspension, he played for CSD Coatepeque and currently for Antigua GFC .

Thompson was appointed to the Guatemalan national team for the first time in 2001 .
