The in Hunsrück located Freiherr von Drais bike trail is 24.1 km long and runs around the town of Kirchberg . The cycle path was named after the most famous Kirchberger, Karl Freiherr von Drais , the inventor of the first two-wheeler called running machine, velocipede or draisine .

The cycle path mostly runs over paved field and forest paths, partly on country roads with little traffic.
