The Freundeskreis Luftwaffe e. V. is a registered association with adjudicated charitable status , which in the 19 September 1984 Bonn was founded.
The aim of the association is to arouse and promote interest in aviation and the German air force . In addition, it maintains close contact with the Air Force and offers its members lectures and excursions on topics from civil and military aviation, space travel, science, technology, transport and sport.
The association with around 1200 members is divided into the four sections Berlin , Dresden , Nörvenich and Munich .
The president of the board is currently Brigadier General ret. D. Peter Lahl .
The Freundeskreis Luftwaffe e. V. is one of the beneficiary associations of the German Armed Forces, which can independently issue uniforms for reservists and former soldiers for their events .
