Frida von Bülow (born December 10, 1822 in Parchim , † October 15, 1894 in Schwerin ) was the childhood sweetheart of the Low German poet Fritz Reuter .

Life

Frida von Bülow was the daughter of the fortress commander of the fortress Dömitz Christian Dietrich Carl von Bülow. The last time (June 1838 to August 1840) of his seven-year fortress period was spent by the Low German poet Fritz Reuter at the fortress. Here he fell in love with Frida von Bülow. He portrayed her and wrote love poems for her. They did not see each other after he was released, but they exchanged letters. Frida von Bülow remained unmarried and after the death of her father in 1850 lived with her four sisters, who also remained unmarried, in Schwerin. Fritz Reuter had a friend bring Frida his book Hanne Nüte un de lütte Pudel . Frida von Bülow's grave is in the old cemetery on Obotritenring in Schwerin.
