Frieda Hauke , b. Kirsch, (born April 6, 1890 in Breslau , † August 15, 1972 in Hemmingen-Westerfeld ) was a German politician of the SPD .

Life and work

After attending elementary schools in Breslau and Katowice , Hauke, who was of Protestant faith, trained as an office clerk at a private business school. She then worked as an office clerk, then as a saleswoman until her wedding in 1909 with Paul Hauke . Later she worked in the welfare agency of the city of Katowice and after the end of the First World War at the demobilization committee of the city of Katowice.

Hauke ​​was a member of the Weimar National Assembly in 1919/20 . Then she was a member of the Reichstag . She resigned from parliament on December 5, 1922 after the election of the new members of the constituency of Opole . In 1949 she was a member of the first Federal Assembly that elected Theodor Heuss as Federal President .
