Friedel von Hagen

Friedel von Hagen (born July 12, 1954 , † February 6, 2015 in Georgsmarienhütte ) was a German singer who was initially active in the rock band Oxalis and later pursued a solo career in Schlager . He married Martina Monaco on March 3, 2006 and has had the real name of Friedrich Monaco ever since .

Life

Until the 1980s, Hagen was the frontman, singer and guitarist of the rock band Oxalis . At the same time he toured as DJ Friedel with his Mobildisco Moonlight-Disco through the southern district of Osnabrück, which brought him the nickname Moonlight-Friedel in the mid-1980s .

In addition, he worked as a presenter for various radio stations in North Rhine-Westphalia before starting to work again as a producer and singer in the 1990s. At that time he began to devote himself mainly to German party songs, such as The Most Beautiful Eyes in the World , My Pants Are Stuck , Whether My Feet Stink , Aunt Jutta from Calcutta or Like an Angel . His songs were especially popular as carnival hits. Friedel von Hagen was also a regular guest at Schlagermove in Hamburg.

In 2012 Friedel von Hagen wrote the radio track Where stays the summer and made it into the top 40 of the Musicload download charts with the song. He was also able to land a hit in the party / Mallorca area with Ich fahr zum Ballermann . In the video clip produced for this purpose, Friedel von Hagen was shown as an animated comic figure.
