history

Settlement development

In the census data, the settlement development of Friedeln can hardly be separated from the development of the bakery part of the community. In the 1861 census, bakers were not recorded separately, but included under Friedeln. At that time, 23 residents were determined for the hamlet Friedeln (with bakery). From 1871 to 1970 separate figures are available for both parts of the municipality. For a long time the place consisted of a single property, the former house number 17, today on the eastern edge of the place. In 1987 no separate data were collected for the Friedeln part of the municipality. Together with the village of Bäcker, 86 residents in 18 residential buildings were determined. In the location database of the Bavarian State Library , the location is currently referred to as a wasteland , although the number of residential buildings in the location has risen to eleven (as of 2017).
