Peace worker

As a peace expert persons are referred to a special qualification for the Civil Peace Service or for a professional job in a professional peace services have been completed. Women and men with professional and life experience are admitted to this qualification.

In Germany, the Ziviler Friedensdienst consortium has developed common quality standards for this training of peace workers. These standards were recognized by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ); Compliance with these is therefore a prerequisite for state funding for civil peace service projects.

The Ziviler Friedensdienst consortium includes the recognized development service organizations, Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Entwicklungshilfe (AGEH) , Christian Specialists International (CFI), German Development Service (DED) , EIRENE , Evangelical Development Service (EED) and World Peace Service (WFD) as well as the Civil Peace Service Forum and the Service Action Group for peace (AGDF) offers two peace organizations.
