The residential building Friedensstraße 221 is in the Rheydt district in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
The building was built in 1828. It was entered under No. F 010 on September 24, 1985 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .
architecture
It is a free-standing villa building made of plastered brick with articulated stone elements , which was built in 1828. The two-storey, cubic main structure with 3: 5 window axes stands under a gently sloping hipped roof . It is distinguished on the street and garden front by a three-axis central projection with a triangular gable .
The representative factory owner's villa from the early 19th century is one of the finest examples of classicist architecture in the city.
