On January 31, 1943, the French ship in Toulon was confiscated by Germany. On August 6, 1943, the tanker was attacked in the Black Sea by the Russian submarine SC 216 . On May 11, 1944 in was convoy propelled tanker from the Russian submarine L-4 (captain third rank Polyakov) before Constanta attacked. The tanker received a torpedo hit but did not sink. On August 30, 1944 in Constana it came into Soviet possession as a prize , where the ship continued to be operated as Volgoneft .
