Friederiken Bridge (Georgengarten)
The Friederiken Bridge over the graft of the Great Garden in Hanover was built in connection with the construction of the Georgengarten in 1839/40 based on a design by the court architect Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves . It was named after Friederike von Mecklenburg-Strelitz .
The iron driving bridge was executed according to Laves' design with lens carriers in an improved construction. The top chord serves as a wrought-iron tubular support.
The bridge was reinforced in 1937, presumably maintaining the original outer girders.
