Friedhelm Boldt (born November 24, 1936 ) is a former German soccer player. In 1964/65 he played for SC Neubrandenburg in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

In the small town of Ueckermünde in Western Pomerania , Friedhelm Boldt began to play organized football in 1947. He later came to BSG Turbine Neubrandenburg via the company sports community (BSG) unit Ueckermünde , with whom he last played in 1960 in the third-class II. GDR league . From the 1961/62 season, which lasted 39 game days in the second-rate GDR league due to the changeover to the summer-spring game rhythm , Boldt was part of the squad of the GDR league club Army Sports Association (ASG) forward Neubrandenburg . Of the 39 point games, he played 24 games in which he scored two goals. In 1962/63 he was able to complete only half of the league games with thirteen appearances, but this time he scored three goals. In the 1963/64 season Boldt was used in all 30 league point games. Since he was released from the National People's Army in March 1964 , he only played 21 games (2 goals) for the ASG forward. He then rejoined the BSG Turbine Neubrandenburg, which was transferred to SC Neubrandenburg shortly afterwards. As SC Neubrandenburg, the GDR league team reached promotion to the GDR league at the end of the season. Boldt was still involved with nine missions and three goals. In the league season 1964/65 Boldt played 23 of the 26 games and scored one goal. He was used as a defender, midfielder and striker. Since the sports club did not manage to stay in the league, the GDR league was played again from 1965/66. Boldt still belonged to the first team for two seasons, starting in 1966 initially as a football association (FSV) and shortly afterwards as BSG Post. 1965/66 Boldt was able to complete 24 of the 30 GDR league games, in his last season 1966/67 he came only to 13 missions. When he retired from performance-oriented football in the summer, he was able to look back on 127 matches and eleven goals in eight seasons in higher-class football. In 1969 he returned to the origins of his career and became a trainer at Einheit Ueckermünde in the now third-class league.
