The cemetery Mooifontein ( English Cemetery on Farm Mooifontain ), actually probably Mooifontein (in German beautiful source ), is a cemetery on the farm Mooifontain 17 kilometers south of Helmeringhausen in the Hardap region in Namibia . It has been a National Monument of Namibia since March 15, 1969 .
Next to the graves there is a small, chapel-like structure made of stone and iron as well as panels made of marble bearing the names of the fallen soldiers of the protection force for German South West Africa who were buried here . The complex is secured by a wall and an iron gate. The cemetery is part of a German base at the time of German South West Africa called Chamis .
