Cemetery Cross (Jouarre)
The cemetery cross in Jouarre , a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France , dates from the 13th century. Today it stands on Place Saint-Paul behind the Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul church and has been a protected cultural monument ( Monument historique ) since 1862 .
The cemetery cross was on the communal cemetery of the community until 1864. It was made from a block of limestone and is 3.50 m high.
At the intersection of the cross arms there are four passports . On one side the Madonna and Child is depicted and on the other side the depiction is no longer recognizable.
