The residential building Friedrich-Engels-Allee 146 is a listed residential building on Wuppertaler Strasse Friedrich-Engels-Allee in the Unterbarmen district .

The three-story house was built in half-timbered construction and has a floor area of ​​approx. 12.4 × 10 meters. It is not a free-standing building, but was built between the residential building Friedrich-Engels-Allee 142 and the residential building Friedrich-Engels-Allee 148 .

The north facade of the building, facing the street, is slated and symmetrically designed with five axes. The entrance door, to which a five-step flight of stairs leads, is in the middle axis. The south facade is also designed with five axes. In earlier times there was a single-axis, side and two-storey half-timbered extension.

Three dormers are placed on the north side of the expanded gable roof .

history

The building was erected in the first decades of the 19th century. The house is part of the first historical development on Friedrich-Engels-Allee. The building was entered on November 14, 1989 as a monument in the list of monuments of the city of Wuppertal.
