Friedrich-Wilhelm Raasch

Friedrich-Wilhelm Raasch (born October 12, 1938 in Hildesheim ; † February 10, 1997 in Lilienthal ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

After graduating from high school in Bremen in 1959, Friedrich-Wilhelm Raasch completed an apprenticeship as a legal clerk in Lower Saxony, which he completed in 1962 with an examination. He then worked as a legal clerk from 1962 to 1978 in Lilienthal , Osterholz-Scharmbeck and Verden . As a member of the Lower Saxony State Broadcasting Committee, he was promoted to its managing director in 1990 and remained in this position until 1994. Subsequently, he worked at the Lower Saxony State Media Authority as a director until 1995.

Raasch joined the CDU in 1968. He was a member of the credit committee of the Kreissparkasse Osterholz and a member of the board of directors. From 1968 he was a member of the council, from 1974 he became mayor of the Lilienthal community. In 1972 he also became a member of the district council and a member of the district committee in the Osterholz district. From June 21, 1978 to January 18, 1990 he was a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament (9th to 11th electoral term); from July 10, 1986 to January 18, 1990, he also served as chairman of the electoral review committee. A street in Lilienthal was named after him in his honor.
