Prince Friedrich August

Friedrich August von Anhalt-Dessau (born September 23, 1799 in Dessau ; † December 4, 1864 ibid) from the house of the Askanians was a prince of Anhalt-Dessau .

Life

Friedrich was a son of the Hereditary Prince Friedrich von Anhalt-Dessau (1769-1814) from his marriage to Christiana Amalie (1774-1846), daughter of Landgrave Friedrich V of Hessen-Homburg .

Marriage and offspring

On September 11, 1832, Friedrich married Marie (1814–1895), daughter of Landgrave Wilhelm von Hessen- Kassel-Rumpenheim, at Rumpenheim Castle , with whom he had the following children:

⚭ 1851 Duke Adolf von Nassau (1817–1905), later Grand Duke of Luxembourg.
