Greg Cruttwell

Greg Cruttwell (* 1962 in London ) is a British actor , screenwriter , director , film producer and the son of actress Geraldine McEwan and Hugh Cruttwell , the former director of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art .

Life

Cruttwell attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art . Before becoming a director and film producer , he worked in over 20 theater productions across the UK . In 1990 Cruttwell wrote Waiting for Sir Larry , in which he also played a leading role . The piece won the Fringe First Award at the Edinburgh Festival .

Cruttwell made his film debut in 1993 in Mike Leigh's comedy Nude . He was also seen in 1996, alongside Danny Aiello , Jeff Daniels and Charlize Theron , in the detective film 2 Days in LA . He also had episode roles in the British television productions Murder Most Horrid , French & Saunders and Birds of a Feather .

In 2002, Cruttwell, along with producer Phil Hunt , founded their own production company called Head Gear Films . The first film produced by Head Gear Films was Chunky Monkey , which Cruttwell wrote the script . He also produced the political thriller Rabbit On The Moon for Head Gear .
