Friedrich August von Dieskau

Friedrich August von Dieskau , currently mostly von Dießkau , (born November 28, 1732 in Eilenburg , † January 2, 1792 in Prague ) was an imperial-royal major general .

Life

He came from the Meissen noble family von Dieskau and was the son of Heinrich von Dieskau. He had two older brothers, one of whom Christian Wilhelm, like himself, embarked on a military career. Busso Carl Heinrich von Dieskau, however, became court marshal of the Duke of Anhalt-Köthen.

Dieskau rose to major general in the Imperial and Royal Army. He lived unmarried until the end in the capital of the Kingdom of Bohemia , where he was addressed as a baron , although there was no official elevation to the baron class .
