Friedrich August von Helmolt

Friedrich August von Helmolt (born December 9, 1690 in Gehofen ; † February 24, 1755 in Kannawurf ) was the Princely Saxon-Weißenfels Chamber Councilor and governor of Sachsenburg as well as heir, feudal lord and court lord as well as patron saint of Kannawurf.

Life

He came from the Göttingen noble family von Helmolt and was the son of the manor owner Christian Otto von Helmolt (1658–1727) on Bilzingsleben and the brother of the chamberlain Christian Ludwig von Helmolt on Bilzingsleben and the captain Carl Gustav von Helmolt, owner of the Flansian estate at Kannawurf . At first he became the captain of the Electorate of Saxony, but then took up an administrative career and in 1720 was named the governor of Sachsenburg. After the death of his father, he and his male siblings inherited the paternal estate of Bilzingsleben. He sold his share again in 1730.

In 1737 Friedrich August von Helmolt is referred to as the Saxon-Weissenfels Chamber Council and owner of the Mannlehngut Kannawurf . His only son and heir was Christian Friedrich von Helmolt (1721–1779).
