Culture and sights
Buildings
- The Protestant Church of St. Johann Baptist is a neo-Gothic hall church with a recessed polygonal choir and a slim, octagonal west tower. It was probably built between 1866 and 1868 based on a design by Friedrich August Stüler instead of a previous medieval building. The facing consists of sandstone blocks, the equipment dates from the time of construction. Note an elaborately carved baptismal font from the early 17th century, the six-sided foot of which shows Luther, Paul and the Evangelists.
- War memorial (built on the church square in 1924 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the warrior association)
- Brickworks (probably built in 1840, in its current form since 1886)
