Friedrich Bauereisen

Friedrich Bauereisen (born December 9, 1895 in Ehingen (Middle Franconia) , † January 14, 1965 there ) was a German politician of the CSU .

Life and work

After attending elementary school, Bauereisen worked on his parents' farm. He was a soldier in the First World War . He was involved in the Bavarian Farmers' Association and as district chairman in the Raiffeisen Association and was a member of the regional synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria .

Political party

Bauereisen joined the CSU in 1946 after not being politically active before 1945.

MP

From 1948 on, Bauereisen was a member of the district council in the Dinkelsbühl district .

Bauereisen belonged to the German Bundestag from its first election 1949 to 1961. He was one of the CSU MPs who wanted to achieve the reintroduction of the death penalty for murder through an amendment to Article 102 of the Basic Law in the third electoral term . Bauereisen represented the constituency of Ansbach in parliament.

Public offices

Bauereisen was appointed mayor of Ehingen (Middle Franconia) by the American occupation forces in 1945 and was confirmed in office in the first local election in 1946. He retained the office until his death. His successor was his son, who was also called Friedrich , who was a member of the state parliament from 1974 to 1994 in the district of Ansbach-Süd for the CSU, as well as deputy district administrator of the district of Ansbach.
