Friedrich Bierschenk

Friedrich Bierschenk (born November 20, 1907 in Berlin ; † October 18, 1974 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Friedrich Bierschenk attended elementary school and did an apprenticeship at the Allgemeine Ortskrankenkasse (AOK) in Berlin-Lichterfelde . From 1941 he was in the Wehrmacht , most recently as a medical sergeant .

After the Second World War , Bierschenk returned to Berlin in 1946 and worked for the AOK Berlin. He joined the SPD and was elected to the District Assembly (BVV) in the Steglitz district in the Berlin election in 1954 . Since Klaus Dieter Arndt became a member of the Bundestag, Bierschenk moved to the Berlin House of Representatives in October 1965 , but left parliament in March 1967.

From 1954 Bierschenk was a member of the board of directors of the Freie Volksbühne Berlin , later also chairman of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) in Steglitz.
