Friedrich Dannenmann (born January 10, 1864 in Tübingen ; † November 8, 1952 ) was a German builder , building contractor and local politician .

Dannenmann was the grandson of Johann Jakob Dannenmann , who founded the Dannenmann construction business in 1828 and was part of Ludwig Uhland's political environment .

Friedrich Dannenmann also became politically active at an early stage and, following family tradition, went on election trips together with politicians such as Friedrich von Payer and Theodor Liesching .

At the age of 32 he was elected to the citizens' committee of his hometown, later he sat on the Tübingen municipal council for over 24 years . From 1914 to 1918 he was commissioned to represent the mayor, which at that time was seen as a sign of special trust.

For his many years of activity as Tübingen city council (he was a member of the DDP ), Dannenmann was awarded honorary citizenship of the city of Tübingen on October 27, 1952 . He was the fifth personality in the history of the city of Tübingen to receive this honor. A street in the west of Tübingen is named after him.

Dannenmann and his company were involved in construction measures such as the construction of the Uhlandbad , the construction of numerous connecting houses, schools, the waterworks, the electricity company and the correction of the Neckar in the Tübingen urban area.
