Friedrich Edmund Pilling (born May 13, 1830 in Gößnitz ; † May 7, 1907 there ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of an organist and girls' school teacher, Pilling studied law in Jena after attending the Friedrichsgymnasium in Altenburg . During his studies he became a member of the Teutonia Jena fraternity in 1850 . After completing his studies, he became an auditor at the Altenburg city court in 1853 . In 1856 he passed his second exam and became a notary . In 1859 he became a lawyer and Landesbank registrar. Then he worked from 1864 to 1872 as a court actuary in Kahla . In 1876 he became state judge assessor in Altenburg, in 1878 city ​​judge , 1879 district judge and 1881 district judge . In 1883 he became chairman of the Eisenberg district court . There he was elected member of the state parliament in 1883 . In 1886 he was re-elected and a member of the disciplinary chamber of the Duchy of Altenburg . In 1889 he became president of the regional court in Altenburg. In 1898 he retired for health reasons. He was appointed to the Privy Council .

In 1884 he was the founder of the history and antiquity research association in Eisenberg , of which he later became an honorary member.
