Friedrich Ernst Wagner

Friedrich Ernst Wagner (born June 24, 1796 in Grobin ; † 1872 ) was a Russian lieutenant general .

Life

After attending the illustrious grammar school in Mitau, Friedrich Ernst Wagner studied law at the University of Dorpat from 1814 to 1815, from 1815 to 1816 at the University of Berlin, from 1816 to 1817 at the University of Göttingen and from 1817 to 1819 at the University of Heidelberg. During his studies he became a member of the Curonia Dorpat and in 1817 of the Corps Curonia Heidelberg. After completing his studies, he embarked on an officer career in the Russian military, where he rose to lieutenant general . Most recently he commanded the 2nd division of the Black Sea coastline. He owned an estate in the Cherson Governorate, where he probably also died.

Awards

In 1838 Wagner was awarded the Russian Order of St. George 4th grade.
