Alexandre Lacroix (born September 2, 1975 in Poitiers ) is a French writer , essayist and journalist .

Life

Alexandre Lacroix grew up in Paris . He studied economics and philosophy at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and then political science . He graduated in 1998 and published his first autobiographical novel, Premières volontés . Since 1999 he has been teaching creative writing at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris . After his studies, he lived in a village in Burgundy and devoted himself to writing. Returning to Paris the previous year, he founded the Philosophy Magazine in 2006 , a French magazine for philosophical topics that has been published ten times a year since 2006 and of which he is editor-in-chief . A German sister magazine has been published since 2011. The translation of his 2011 essay Contribution à la théorie du baiser attracted attention in German-speaking countries .

Alexandre Lacroix is ​​married and has three children.
