Friedrich Geerds

Friedrich Geerds (born August 29, 1925 in Lübeck , † April 26, 2000 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German lawyer and was considered one of the leading criminologists in Germany.

Life

Geerds received his doctorate in law from the University of Kiel in 1953 . He was professor of criminology, criminal law and criminal procedural law at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and editor of the archive for criminology with a special focus on forensic physics, chemistry and medicine .

His particular interest was in addition to the criminology of criminology .
