Friedrich Green
Friedrich Green (* 1701 in Lübeck ; † February 28, 1773 ibid) was a German merchant and mayor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.
Life
Friedrich Green was the son of the Lübeck citizen Heinrich Green († 1723). He belonged to the merchants' corporation of Novgorod drivers and was elected to the Lübeck council in 1749. In 1769 he was appointed mayor and treasurer of Lübeck in the council . The sub-rector of the Katharineum in Lübeck Johann Georg Gesner dedicated his directory of the books of the city library (Lübeck) to him .
Green was married to a daughter of the Lübeck citizen Zerran, the son Gotthard Heinrich Green later also became councilor of the city.
