Friedrich Grohs

Friedrich Grohs , (born May 11, 1917 in Klagenfurt ; † December 13, 1989 in Vienna ) was a lawyer in Vienna, Vice President of the Austrian Bar Association and founding member of the ÖVP .

Grohs was a resistance fighter against National Socialism in the resistance group O5 . Probably by luck he escaped the firing squads by the National Socialists in Floridsdorf am Spitz . Throughout his life, he corresponded with Simon Wiesenthal and advocated a complete investigation of the Nazi era.

Friedrich Grohs was married to Maria-Luise Grohs (née Skrein), daughter of the lawyer Rudolf Skrein, whose law firm Grohs continued together with Friedrich Skrein. There are four children from the marriage.
