Friedrich Haase (table tennis player)

Friedrich Haase (born November 2, 1943 ) is a former German table tennis player . He took part in the 1969 World Cup.

Career

Haase always played for the SSV Reutlingen 05 club , with whose men's team he won the South German championship from 1966 to 1969. At the National German Championships in 1967 he was third in doubles with Heinz Harst .

In 1969 he was nominated for the individual competitions of the World Cup in Munich. Here he defeated the Indian Gudalore Jagannath in the individual and then retired in the round of 32 against Sugeng Utomo Soewindo (Indonesia).

Haase later achieved numerous successes in senior tournaments. At the senior individual championships in Württemberg-Hohenzollern in 2005 in the age group 60+ he came third in the singles and second in the doubles with Manfred Grumbach. With the same doubles partner he won bronze at the Senior World Championships in 2008 in the 65+ class. From 2006 to 2010 he was five times in a row with SSV Reutlingen Wuerttemberg team champion S60.

Private

Haase is an architect by profession. He is married.
