Heinrich Kochhann (politician, 1805)
Friedrich Heinrich Eduard Kochhann (born May 11, 1805 in Berlin ; † February 11, 1890 there ) was a German politician in Berlin.
In 1830, as a young master baker, Kochhann was already chairman of the poor commission in Luisenstadt . In 1839 he came to the city administration. As with many liberals of the time, his political environment was to be sought in reform church circles ( friends of light ). After leaving city politics, Kochhann became the 39th honorary citizen of the city , which owes him, among other things, part of the city's green spaces, avenue trees, the Friedrichshain clinic and other things.
Kochhann was buried in the hereditary funeral of the Kochhann family in the Luisenstadt cemetery , where the architect Eduard Fürstenau was later buried, as he had married a granddaughter of Heinrich Kochhann. The honor grave of the city of Berlin is in the burial ground NM.
Kochhannstrasse in Berlin-Friedrichshain has been named after him since 1902 .
