Friedrich Hensler

Friedrich Hensler (born July 1, 1949 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. From 2003 to 2008, Hensler was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament and, after a period between 1998 and 2003, has been a member of the Austrian Federal Council again since 2008 .

Hensler attended elementary school in Hollern from 1955 to 1959 and then from 1959 to 1963 graduated from the Don Bosco Salesians' secondary school in Vienna. Then Hensler attended the agricultural college in Bruck an der Leitha from 1964 to 1967 . Hensler works as a farmer in Hollern .

Hensler began his political career in 1975 as a councilor in the market town of Rohrau. In 1985 he was promoted to executive council, was vice mayor from 1995 to 1997 and again executive council from 1997 to 2008. He was then again a councilor until 2010, before he was re-elected as the executive councilor in 2010. In addition, Hensler represented Lower Austria between April 16, 1998 and April 23, 2003 in the Federal Council, before he held the office of a member of the state parliament in Lower Austria between April 24, 2003 and April 10, 2008. Since April 10, 2008, Hensler has been Federal Councilor again. In addition, Hensler has been local party chairman of the ÖVP Hollern since 1990, regional chairman of the machine rings since 1996, ÖVP main district party chairman since 1998 and district farmers' council chairman since 1999. In 2000 he was elected federal deputy chairman of the machine rings.
