Friedrich Hollmann

Friedrich August Wilhelm Hollmann (born October 16, 1833 in Harjel , † September 1, 1900 in Walk ) was a Baltic German pastor and Livonian general superintendent .

Life

His parents were the pastor Rudolf Hollmann and Emilie, née Schreiber. After attending the Gouvernements-Gymnasium in Riga , Hollmann studied theology at the University of Dorpat from 1852 to 1856 ; he was awarded a gold medal. He belonged to the Livonia . After completing his studies, he was first a private tutor , then completed a year of probation in Dorpat and was pastor in Rauge from 1859 to 1873 . In 1873 he became director of the knightly school teachers' seminar in Dorpat and at the same time senior teacher at the local private high school. He was head of the city ​​mission in St. Petersburg from 1887 to 1889 , then from 1889 as general superintendent and vice-president of the Livonian consistory in Riga. He died on the way home from a synod in Walk.
