Friedrich Iffland

Friedrich Iffland (born October 18, 1871 in Armsheim , † January 21, 1944 in Idar-Oberstein ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1928 to 1933 he was a member of the Oldenburg State Parliament .

Life

Iffland was born the son of a bricklayer. After attending school, he completed an apprenticeship as a goldsmith in Oberstein , initially worked in a factory and had been active in the Oberstein home industry since the 1920s. In addition, from 1908 he was an innkeeper in his home town.

From 1908 Iffland was a member of the Oberstein municipal council for the SPD. In the 1920s he was an honorary first alderman for the city and chairman of the supervisory board of the consumer association in Oberstein. From 1919 to 1922 he was a member of the state committee for the Birkenfeld region . He was a member of the Oldenburg State Parliament from 1928 to 1933; there he was consistently a member of the petitions committee. After the National Socialists came to power , Iffland saw no point in continuing his work as a councilor and resigned his council mandate in Oberstein on June 22, 1933.

Friedrich Iffland had been married since 1897.
