Friedrich Meisterlin

Johann Friedrich Meisterlin (born February 25, 1789 in Hanau ; † June 29, 1847 in Kassel ) was a minister in the Electorate of Hesse .

family

Friedrich Meisterlin's father was the court judge Karl Dietrich Meisterlin, his mother Jacobine Ricordon. In 1813 he married the pastor's daughter Luise Weiß.

career

Meisterlin attended high school in Hanau, studied law in Marburg from 1805 and moved to Heidelberg in 1806 . In 1807 he became a lawyer at the court in Hanau, and in 1813 an actuary at the court of justice. In 1821 he was appointed to the district council of Eschwege , and in 1822 in Hofgeismar . From 1824 he was a councilor at the finance chamber in Kassel . From November 1831 he was director of the tax commission in Kassel. From May 1832 he acted as Landtag commissioner at the Hessian Estates Assembly and retained this office in the following Landtag until September 1834. Between February 1834 and September 1834, as Ministerialdirektor, he was also head of the Hessian Ministry of Finance.
