Friedrich Moritz Hoffmann

Friedrich Moritz Hoffmann (born June 20, 1818 in Breslau ; † January 3, 1882 ) was a German judge and judge at the Imperial Higher Commercial Court .

Life

He got a doctorate. In 1839 he was sworn in to the Prussian sovereign and became an auscultator. In 1848 he became a regular assessor or court assessor and the next year he was sent to the district court of Glatz / Habelschwerdt as a public prosecutor . In 1859 he was appointed appellate judge in Köslin , and in 1869 he was promoted to senior tribunal advisor. In 1870 he came to the Reich Higher Commercial Court. In 1872 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Leipzig. In 1879 he joined the First Civil Senate of the Imperial Court . Half a year later he moved to the II. Auxiliary Senate and finally came to the II. Criminal Senate , of which he was a member until his death in 1882. His daughter Margarethe married the Assyriologist Friedrich Delitzsch in 1880 .
