Friedrich Moritz Wendler
Friedrich Moritz Wendler (born February 18, 1814 in Dresden ; † October 16, 1872 there ) was a German genre and landscape painter.
Wendler studied from 1828 to 1836 at the Dresden Art Academy with Friedrich Matthäi and Carl Christian Vogel von Vogelstein and continued his studies in Munich with Peter von Cornelius .
After completing his studies, he dealt with history painting in Munich . He later devoted himself to genre painting and returned home to Dresden. In 1838 he came back to Munich and toured Bavaria . In 1839 he visited Tyrol . In 1841 he came back to Dresden. In addition to painting, Wendler also dealt with illustrations .
