Friedrich Pfafflin

Karl Friedrich Eberhard Pfäfflin (born August 10, 1873 in Mühlhausen , † July 3, 1955 in Ilshofen ) was a German Lutheran clergyman.

After studying theology in Tübingen, Pfäfflin worked from 1895 as vicar and parish administrator in various Württemberg parishes. From 1910 to 1918 he was pastor at the Luther Church in Bad Cannstatt , then dean in Langenburg and from 1930 until his retirement in 1939 dean in Brackenheim . He became known as the author of a German translation of the Bible . The 1st edition in 1933 contained the letters of the New Testament . The Gospels appeared in 1935. The New Testament was published in 1939 in today's language, translated by Friedrich Pfäfflin .

A revised edition was published in Heilbronn in 1965.
