Friedrich Pischelberger

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Friedrich Pischelberger (* 1741 ; † 1813 ) was a double bass virtuoso at the time of the Viennese Classic .

In addition to Josef Kämper and Johann Matthias Sperger, he was a member of the so-called Viennese double bass school. Inspired by these double bass players, around 30 concerts were performed within four decades. Some of them were personally dedicated to Pischelberger, for example Mozart wrote his famous aria with double bass Per questa bella mano ( KV 612) for him.
