Friedrich Pospiech

Friedrich Pospiech (born May 13, 1927 ; † October 22, 2007 in Esslingen am Neckar ) was a German DKP functionary, editor and author.

Life

Friedrich Pospiech was born in Czech Silesia and grew up in Bratislava . He studied economics at the Universities of Stuttgart and Tübingen. In 1948 he joined the SPD . Because of resistance against the remilitarization of Germany, he had to spend nine months in prison. The prison sentence was followed by his expulsion from the SPD in 1952 and he joined the KPD .

As a lecturer at the University of Heidelberg he was dismissed due to the radical decree.

For a long time Pospiech was DKP chairman in the Esslingen district and from 1973 to 1984 a member of the Esslingen district council .
