Friedrich Russ

Johann Friedrich Russ (born October 3, 1777 in Windesheim , † July 29, 1844 in Wiesbaden ) was a German businessman, councilor and politician.

Ruß was the son of the red tanner Johann Conrad Ruß and his wife Barbara nee Krug. He was a merchant and councilor and married Anna Maria, born in Biebrich on June 12, 1804 (born November 7, 1782 in Wiesbaden; † November 30, 1837 there), the daughter of master saddler Johann Gottfried Erkel.

In 1823 soot was elected in a by-election for the Herborn constituency for the group of traders in the estates of the Duchy of Nassau . He was a member of the state parliament until 1832. In that year he was a member of the liberal majority in the state parliament, which had moved out of the state parliament in protest against the pair push of 1831. As a result, his mandate was revoked. His son Gottfried Russ was a member of the Nassau state parliament from 1858.
