Friedrich Schoeffel
Friedrich Schöffel (born May 3, 1915 - September 25, 2010 ) was a German mechanical engineer.
Life
Schöffel studied mechanical engineering. After receiving his doctorate in 1948 with Ludwig Föppl and working as a senior engineer with Gustav Niemann , he worked as a professor at the Munich University of Applied Sciences . In 1963 he accepted a professorship for mechanical engineering at the Faculty of Brewing, Food Technology and Dairy Science at the Technical University of Munich in Weihenstephan.
The focus of his work was the suspension behavior of solids, solid-liquid separation with the aid of hydrocyclones, rotary filters and decanters, as well as the release and dissolving behavior of carbon dioxide in beverages.
