Friedrich Siegmund von Meyer
Friedrich Siegmund von Meyer (born July 6, 1775 in Marburg , † December 29, 1829 in Kassel ) was a German civil servant and finance minister.
Life
Von Meyer was an official in the Electorate of Hesse . There he was director of the mining and salt works directorate from 1814, from 1821 to 1829 president of the general control and from 1826 to 1829 at the same time finance minister.
He was married to Charlotte Friederike von Schmerfeld (1776–1855), the daughter of the Hessian government director Johann Daniel von Schmerfeld. The son Siegmund von Meyer emerged from the marriage, who also became Minister of the Electorate of Hesse.
