Friedrich Soetebier

Friedrich Soetebier (born January 19, 1901 in Hamburg , † March 20, 1973 in Buchholz in the Nordheide ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and business school, Soetebier continued his education at the adult education center. He then completed an apprenticeship as a baker, which he completed with a journeyman's examination. He passed the master craftsman's examination, completed a commercial training in retail and worked as a master baker and retailer in Scharmbeck since 1928 . He also ran his own farm. He later became head master of the bakers' guild, district chairman of the retail trade association and a member of the supervisory board of the Edeka organization.

Political party

Soetebier joined the FDP in 1957 . He was chairman of the FDP district association Lüneburg - Harburg and deputy chairman of the local party district. He was also elected to the state board of the Liberals in Lower Saxony . Here he headed the state committee of the party for trade, handicraft and trade.

MP

After 1945, Soetebier was a member of the Harburg district council . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1965. He was drawn into parliament via the Lower Saxony state list.
