Friedrich Spohr

Friedrich Spohr (* 1830 ; † 1896 ) was a Saxon military musician.

Spohr composed the march Greetings to Kiel in 1864 , in memory of the entry of Saxon troops into Kiel during the federal execution against the duchies of Holstein and Lauenburg in 1863 , in which he had participated. In 1868 he became head of the music corps of the 3rd Royal Saxon. Infantry Regiment No. 102 "Prince Regent Luitpold von Bayern" promoted in Zittau and in 1882 appointed music director.
