TiungSAT-1

TiungSAT-1 (from Malay for Hirtenmaina , also MySat 1 , OSCAR 46 , MO-46 ) is a Malaysian earth observation and amateur radio satellite for packet radio .

Mission, structure and payload

It is the first ever Malaysian satellite. The satellite was launched on September 26, 2000 with a Dnepr rocket together with the four satellites Megsat 1 , UniSat-1 , Saudisat 1A and Saudisat 1B from the Baikonur spaceport . After the successful launch, the missile was assigned the OSCAR number 46. TiungSAT-1 was built by Surrey Satellite Technology . The satellite is equipped with two cameras, a radiation detector and a bulletin board , which enabled Internet traffic in a partial route . The uplink is in the 2 meter band and the downlink in the 70 centimeter band . Its COSPAR designation is 2000-057D.
