CUTE-1.7 + APD II ( CUbical Tokyo Tech Engineering satellite 1.7 , also OSCAR 65 ) is a Japanese small satellite that was built as a student project at the Tokyo University of Technology . It was launched on April 28, 2008 with an Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle rocket.
construction
Many commercially available components such as a Hitachi NPD-20JWL PDA as a control computer and a USB hub for sensor data acquisition were used as equipment.
He also carries out an experiment for observing charged particles in Earth orbit, which is based on an avalanche photodiode . Hence the suffix APD in the type designation.
Its predecessor CUTE-1.7 + APD ( OSCAR 56) was launched on February 21, 2006 with a Japanese MV .
